How to track someone on google maps
- Start Google Maps on your iPhone or Android.
- First, tap your account avatar at the top right of the screen. In the pop-up menu, tap “Location Sharing”.
- You’ll see a list of all the people who are currently sharing their location with you at the bottom of the screen. To see someone’s exact location, tap the entry and the map will zoom to their position.

How to ask someone to track you?
If someone has already shared your location with you, you can ask them to share it again. They are
- Start Google Maps on your iPhone or Android.
- First, tap your account avatar at the top right of the screen. In the pop-up menu, tap “Location Sharing”.
- Last, tap a contact in the list, and then tap “Request.” Your contact will receive this request on their phone and can choose to accept or decline it.
How to stop tracking someone on Google Maps on your phone?
If you no longer want to see someone’s location on your map, you can ask them to stop sharing your location with you. Another way, you can hide them from view in Google Maps.
- Firstly, start Google Maps on your iPhone or Android.

Add an Address to a Google Contact
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app Google Maps.
- Find an address.
- At the bottom, tap Address.
- Tap Label.
- Enter someone’s name in your Google Contacts. To create a new contact, tap Create Contact.
- Select an option:
- Add Home: Add the address as your contact’s home address.
- Add Job: Add the address as your contact’s work address.
- And add another address: Create a new label for your contact’s address, such as “Vacation Home.”
Note: Only people stored in your Google Contacts will appear as suggestions. You won’t see contact information for people that are stored on your phone or tablet.
Hide or remove Google Contacts address

- Next to your contact, tap More.
- To hide a contact from appearing on Google Maps, hide the contact in Maps, and then tap Hide.
- To remove your contact’s address across Google, tap Remove Contact Address, and then tap Remove.
Tip: To hide the addresses of all your Google Contacts on Maps, open the Google Maps app Google Maps and then tap on your profile picture or initial account circle and then Settings and then Personal Content and then next to “Google Contacts” to turn it off.
